Shanghai will host the 2010 World Expo.The World Expo has a long history but it has never been held in Asia.So the 2010 World Expo is an honor for all of the Asians.Our government has promised that it will be the best one.And Shanghai,as a host city,will have more chances to develop quickly.As a student in Shanghai,I should learn English well so that I can be a volunteer in the Expo to help foreigners know more about Shanghai

Shanghai 2010 World Expo
The World Expo will be held in Shanghai in our country in two months' time.As a great many people will be visiting the country,the government has already built new hotels,new roads and some special railway lines.The Exhibitions will be held every part of Shanghai and the whole area will be called ' Expo City'.Workers will have completed all the work for World Expo in time.Everybody in our country is watching anxiously as the new buildings go up.We are all very excited and are looking forward to the World Expo they have never been held before in this country.As a student,I am glad to welcome people,especially children from all over the world to our country and wish to have a chance to talk with them and make friends with them.

Hunan, “Xiang” for short, for its largest river the Xiang River, is a province of south central China. It is located in the middle and lower reaches of the Changjiang River and has a total population of about 68,500,000. It covers some 212,000 square kilometers, with its modern capital city Changsha and its famous Dongting Lake. There are many places of interest like world-famous Zhangjiajie. It is also rich in various natural resources and home to fish and rice.
The most attractive and impressive are its unique culture and customs. In ancient times, Quyuan, a patriotic poet, committed suicide by throwing himself into the Miluo River for concerning about his kingdom and people. The story of his death and the search for his body started the tradition of Dragon Boat Festival. Chairman Mao, idol of the Chinese people, was born in Shaoshan, which has become an attractive historic site for tourists.
So we can see Hunan is really a paradise that has cultivated a lot of great talents. Living in such a good place, I feel very happy; being a member of Hunan, I am proud of. With its development in all aspects, I’m sure our lives will become better and better.
