"Not bad enough to leave,but not good enough to stay.(1)" What does this expression reminds you of,vis-a-vis关于 "Romance of the Three Kingdom"?(1) I did not copy down the title.I might have remembered it incorrectly.It might have been "Not good enought to stay,but not bad enough to leave." Either way,the meaning is the same.
I saw this book title today when I was at the local library.The book was in a "used book for sale bin" and I did not have time to read the backcover to see what it is about.However,the title reminded me of the Chinese expression (from 三国志) 味同鸡肋 ：食之无味,弃之可惜(to be hardly worth eating but not bad enough to throw away / to be unappetizing and yet not bad enough to be thrown away / It's rather lacking in flavour,but it would be a pity to throw it away).
